Job summary

SoTalent is seeking an Associate Technical Trainer to join its Data Center Learning & Development team in Indianapolis or Westerville. This role provides a unique opportunity to develop impactful technical training programmes in a collaborative setting.

The successful candidate will collaborate with technical experts to create engaging content, evaluate programme effectiveness, and support operational excellence across data centre teams. A Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience are preferred.

A real estate industry‑leading global organisation is seeking an Associate Technical Trainer to join its Data Center Learning & Development team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a learning and development professional who enjoys creating engaging training programmes, partnering with technical subject matter experts and helping employees build the skills they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving data centre environment.

Working within a collaborative Talent, Learning & Development function, you will play a key role in designing, delivering and continuously improving technical learning solutions that support operational excellence across critical infrastructure teams.

The Opportunity

As an Associate Technical Trainer, you will work closely with business leaders and technical experts to identify learning needs, develop impactful training content and support the delivery of high‑quality learning programmes.

You’ll help shape technical training curricula, manage learning resources and platforms, evaluate programme effectiveness and contribute to the development of a highly skilled workforce supporting mission‑critical data centre operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain technical training programmes and learning resources
  • Create engaging learning content, training materials and structured curricula
  • Partner with subject matter experts to ensure content remains accurate and relevant
  • Support the rollout of new learning initiatives and technical training programmes
  • Recommend innovative learning solutions and delivery methods
Learning Operations
  • Administer learning platforms and training systems
  • Support course scheduling, deployment and learner engagement activities
  • Develop evaluation and measurement tools to assess programme effectiveness
  • Monitor training participation, completion rates and learning outcomes
  • Ensure all training programmes comply with governance and quality standards
  • Analyse learner feedback and training metrics to drive improvements
  • Conduct audits and reviews of learning programmes and content
  • Stay informed on emerging learning technologies, methodologies and best practices
  • Support communication and marketing initiatives for new training programmes and updates
About You

You’ll be an organised and proactive learning professional with a passion for knowledge sharing and employee development.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2‑5 years’ experience in Learning & Development, Training, Talent Development or a related field
  • Experience designing and delivering training programmes
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within technical, engineering, infrastructure or data centre environments
  • Knowledge of the ADDIE instructional design methodology
  • Experience using Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Captivate and eLearning development tools
  • Exposure to PeopleSoft or other learning management systems
  • Experience measuring training effectiveness and learning outcomes
