• Assist with tax preparation and bookkeeping tasks for clients.
• Greet and serve customers in person and by phone; manage timely task completion.
• Learn and use tax software and other office tools; adapt to processes quickly.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a motivated, professional to join our growing tax preparation and business services firm for full-time employment, year-round. This could be the place to begin or enhance your experience in the Accounting/Finance industry!

We provide tax preparation, bookkeeping and business services to a diverse group of individual and small business clients all year in the Tri-Cities, WA (Pasco, Kennewick, Richland), across our region AND all over the country.

We are also seeking a candidate for the role of Associate Tax Preparer & Bookkeeper, preferably with experience, with a team-oriented, professional demeanor to join us.

Skills & Education Requirements

• Minimum of High School diploma; Associates degree in Accounting or Business is highly preferred; Certificate in Accounting also desired.
• Verbal & written fluency in Spanish is DESIRED
• Demonstrated organization and multi-tasking skills in situations such as greeting and serving our customers, and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
• Demonstrated critical thinking / analytical skills in solving problems or gathering missing information
• Experience in Tax Preparation is desired, but necessary training in tax law and preparation will be provided
• Experience with QuickBooks software is HIGHLY DESIRED, and yet, additional training will be provided
• Experience with MS Office Productivity software - Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. is required
• Ability to learn new software tools (e.g., tax software) and office processes quickly and effectively is essential
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team is a MUST; prior experience in a customer-facing or customer service role is a big plus
• At least 3 professional references are required and a background check, mandatory for our industry, will be conducted
