Are you looking for a challenging role that offers the convenience of working virtually from home? This position requires you to be within 50 miles of one of our Capital One hubs in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, or Richmond, VA.

Tax Credit Operations supports the Capital Markets line of business in the Commercial Bank division, managing a portfolio of tax credit investment products including New Market Tax Credits and Alternative Energy Tax Credits.

Associates develop expertise in areas such as closing, booking funding, servicing, and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of active credit facilities and investments for New Markets Tax Credit and Alternative Energy Tax Credit loans and investments.
  • Process loan and equity requests, including draw downs, pay downs, interest payments, interest and exchange rate fixing, manual interest and fee calculations, billing, and liquidations.
  • Collaborate with business units and internal partners to align needs and provide support.
  • Perform manual loan tracking, cash break analysis, reconciliations, and testing of system enhancements.
  • Review legal documents for compliance and operational viability.
  • Develop and implement inter-departmental controls and risk-reducing processes.
  • Serve as liaison for borrowers, lenders, and investors, resolving inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Maintain positive client relations to ensure customer satisfaction.

Work from Home Technology Requirements:
  • A secure, quiet home office environment.
  • Reliable internet connection (Cable or fiber preferred, minimum 5 Mbps download speed).
  • Both wired and WiFi connections are acceptable if they meet speed and security standards.
Work from Home Living Requirements:
  • Live within approximately 50 miles of the hub locations (Charlotte, NC; Plano, TX; Richmond, VA) and be available to come in as needed with 24 hours' notice.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of banking operations experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
  • 2+ years in Commercial Loan Servicing or Operations.
  • Experience with Advanced Commercial Banking System (ACBS).
