The Associate Tax Accountant primarily prepares various U.S federal, state, local and Canadian income/franchise tax filings for Gordon Food Service, and related entities.
When you will work:
Hybrid Schedule 4 days in office 1 day work from home
Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm
What you will do:
Assist with tax depreciation and fixed assets.
Assist with local business license filings.
Prepares Federal proforma form 1120's/Sch M's and state/local income tax returns.
Assist with tax research.
Assist with tax provision calculations and tax estimated payments.
Prepares monthly account reconciliations for various tax accounts.
Prepares monthly journal entries for tax activity in related accounts.
Investigate variances in tax accounts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the table:
One to three years previous public accounting or corporate accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
This position requires excellent attention to detail and strong motivation toward company, team, and individual results.

Must have knowledge of tax accounting, preparation, planning and financial accounting and analysis.
Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies.
Knowledge of industry trends.
