Job summary

MITRE is hiring an Associate Systems Engineer to design, implement, and integrate enterprise systems and systems-of-systems for federal sponsors. You will apply Model-Based Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering to assess needs, architectures, and verification approaches while developing metrics for robustness and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and MATLAB
• Familiarity with MBSE and Digital Engineering concepts
• Experience with statistical analysis and modeling
• Interest in complex multi-disciplinary problems
• Willingness to learn new tools in a government-sponsored environment
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Top Secret/SCI clearance
• On-site work for a minimum of 3 days per week

Responsibilities

• Apply MBSE and Digital Engineering methods to design, implement and integrate enterprise systems and systems-of-systems
• Support requirements management, interface management and architecture change management
• Develop metrics to measure system properties like robustness and maintainability
• Evaluate architectures using qualitative and quantitative techniques
• Contribute to system design, development, and modernization in federal projects
• Collaborate in a multi-government project environment
