The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra – You dream it. We build it. Join our team as an Associate Systems Engineer - Chassis Controls.

Job Summary

The Associate Systems Engineer will be responsible for delivering Enhanced Chassis Control (ECC) calibrations, ensuring all projects meet the quality and timing expectations of the H-D project team and external suppliers. This role will leverage standard calibration development processes to deliver robust ABS calibrations that are compliant with both national and international regulations, as well as Traction Control calibrations validated through on-track testing and in-depth data analysis. There will also be extensive collaboration with the H-D software development team and external suppliers to drive and achieve results.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develops and executes test plans to complete ECC calibration to ensure performance requirements are achieved.
    • Up to 25% Travel to H-D testing grounds, as well as various suppliers' testing grounds, is required to complete this testing.
  • Collects and analyzes vehicle data to facilitate the development of the ECC calibrations with H-D and supplier software teams.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with stakeholders through the exchange of information, asking questions, and checking for understanding.
  • Demonstrates fundamental knowledge of engineering calculations and data analysis.
  • Supports full vehicle testing as the point of contact for any ECC generated issues that need investigation.
  • Develops standardized tools and processes to improve development efficiency and increase the technical capacity of the team.

Experience Requirements

Required:

  • Ability to ride a motorcycle
    • Internal motorcycle rider training is provided to achieve the necessary level of rider skill needed to execute testing, and the team participates in yearly external motorcycle training.

Preferred:

  • Controls/Calibration experience
  • Full vehicle test experience
  • Data analysis experience
