What You’ll Do
  • Monitor and operate the bulk electric system to maintain reliability and system balance.
  • Support real‑time operations by observing system conditions and assisting with control actions.
  • Train on tools and systems used for energy scheduling, transmission management, and system monitoring.
  • Assist with logging, documentation, and communication to ensure accurate shift turnover and system visibility.
  • Collaborate with system operators, power marketers, and plant personnel to support safe operations.
  • Prepare for and obtain NERC System Operator Certification through structured training and hands‑on learning.
What You’ll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to stay focused and maintain situational awareness in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to give and receive clear instructions.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.
