Textron Systems in Slidell, LA seeks an Associate Supply Chain Buyer to secure materials at the lowest cost while meeting quality and delivery requirements. You will analyze quotations, monitor orders, and expedite shipments as needed to support production.

The role requires pursuing or having completed a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field, plus strong Excel skills and effective communication.

Responsabilidades

• Purchase materials from suppliers at the lowest cost while ensuring quality and reliability.
• Study market trends, interview vendors and recommend sources of supply.
• Solicit and analyze quotations to satisfy requirements.
• Monitor outstanding orders to ensure timely deliveries and assist expediting.
• Negotiate adjustments arising from price analyses or supplier issues.
• Obtain delivery certifications and assist invoice payments.
• Maintain records for compliance and support proposal cost data.
• Preferred candidate will be knowledgeable in weld processes and mechanical fabrication.

About This Role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Purchase materials from supplies at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need

• Study market trends, interview vendors and recommends sources of supply

• Solicit and analyze quotations required to satisfy all the requirements of the authorizing source documentation

• Monitor outstanding orders to ensure timely deliveries of quality products to maintain production, following up on orders to expedite shipment and delivery as needed

• Negotiate for any adjustments resulting from price analysis, discrepant materials, surplus or obsolete materials, contract terminations or a purchase order cancellation

• Obtain certifications of delivery and conduct item delivery validation. Check and improve payment of invoices

• Develop and maintain necessary records and files for compliance purposes. Support preparation of proposal cost data

• Preferred candidate will be knowledgeable in weld process, mechanical and custom fab.
