Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc is seeking an Associate Supplier Quality Engineer in the Power Systems group, located in Aiken, SC or Brownstown, MI. You will review quality specs for diesel engine components, work with suppliers, and drive PPAP, process control, and supplier audits to ensure ISO-9001 compliance.

A foundational understanding of quality engineering and root cause analysis is essential. The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers and suppliers, use of CMM/FARO for dimensional verification,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Metallurgy Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality functions (internships, co-ops, or senior design project experience considered).
• Master's Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Metallurgy Engineering, or a related technical discipline (preferred).
• Foundational ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review quality specs and requirements for S4000 & 2-Cycle components (global sourcing).
• Develop competency in procurement and supply of materials for diesel engine manufacturing.
• Use CMM or FARO to measure parts and verify dimensions against drawings.
• Collaborate with suppliers to clarify quality requirements and implement inspection, qualification, and SPC methods.
• Support supplier part certification against drawings and legacy specifications.
• Execute PPAP for Production and Aftersales parts.
• Maintain supplier audit schedule for ISO-9001 compliance and process control.
