Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a motivated Associate Bridge Engineer to join our Bridge and Structures team! In this role you will get to work on some of the most exciting and impactful infrastructure projects that will positively affect your community and country!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Have the interest and ability to work on multiple bridge projects at once
2. Determine creative and innovative methods and solutions for complex bridge engineering problems and select the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the objectives
3. Assure that the bridges are designed in accordance with approved Federal, State and local agency requirements as well as following accepted industry practices and procedures
4. Your deliverables may include structural designs for single and multi-span, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, precast concrete, segmental concrete, and steel bridges
5. Provide structural specifications, estimating, quantity calculations, technical reports, and detailed engineering analyses
6. Review supplier drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses
7. Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents
8. May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a design engineer for a specific structure on intermediate to large scale projects
9. Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project
10. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING:

1. 0-3 years of bridge design and engineering experience on bridge projects, including design-build and other alternative delivery projects
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills
3. High knowledge level of MS Office tools, CAD proficiency (Microstation preferred), and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of industry standards and applicable structural engineering software
4. Bachelors and Masters degrees in structural engineering or civil engineering with structural emphasis required

WHAT PREFERRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING:

1. EIT
2. Transportation Internship experience with DOT exposure
3. Masters / Graduate level degree is strongly preferred

Salary Range:

$25.34 - $44.33
