Job summary

Providence Little Company Of Mary San Pedro Hospital in California is seeking a Central Service Technician I under supervision to process and sterilize equipment and instrumentation, while maintaining accurate inventory and responding to calls for products and supplies.

This role supports patient care by ensuring stock is available, following established procedures, and collaborating with the sterile processing team. Certification within 1 year is preferred or required.

Qualifications

• Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or
• Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
• Experience in general office practices and procedures.

The Tech I issues and receives supplies and equipment according to established procedures and maintains an accurate inventory to reflect a real-time status. The Tech I is responsible for receiving and responding to all calls for product, equipment and supplies.

Required Qualifications:

• Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or

• Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution

• Experience in general office practices and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in Central Service.
