Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Startup Solutions Architect to work with early-stage startups, helping them adopt the right AWS architectures, scale securely, and realize business value.

You will build technical relationships, create content, and influence product direction while engaging with a dynamic startup ecosystem. You’ll collaborate directly with customers, educating them on AWS services, best practices, and cost-effective design choices to accelerate growth and time-to-market.

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one of Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++.
• Experience with two or more of networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases, operating systems.

In this role, you will work directly with a variety of interesting customers and help them make the best (and sometimes the most pragmatic) technical decisions along the way. You will have a chance to build enduring relationships with these companies and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.

As a member of the AWS Startups team, you will work directly with customers to help them successfully leverage AWS technology at scale.

As well as spending time working directly with customers, you will also get plenty of time to learn new technologies and keep your skills fresh. We have 200+ services across a range of different categories and it is important that we can help startups take advantage of the right ones. You will also play an important role as an advocate with our product teams to make sure we are building the right products and features for the startups you work with. And for the customers you do not get to work with on a 1:1 basis you will share knowledge more broadly by working on technical content and presenting at events.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with one of the following programming languages: Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++
• Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, or Windows)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience implementing a cloud‑based technology solution
• Experience in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
