Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking technical builders to work with early-stage startups, helping them make pragmatic architectural decisions and grow with AWS. You will interact directly with customers, build relationships, and contribute to technical content and events.

You will collaborate with engineers and product teams to shape solutions, learn new technologies, and deliver value across a broad AWS services ecosystem. This is a dynamic startup-focused role in a high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with two or more of networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases, operating systems.

• Develop startup specific technical content, such as blog posts, sample code and solutions, to assist customers solve technical problems and reduce time-to-market.

We are looking for technical builders who love the idea of working with early stage startups to help them as they grow. In this role, you’ll work directly with a variety of interesting customers and help them make the best (and sometimes the most pragmatic) technical decisions along the way. You’ll have a chance to build enduring relationships with these companies and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
As a member of the AWS Startups team, you will work directly with customers to help them successfully leverage AWS technology at scale.
As well as spending time working directly with customers, you’ll also get plenty of time to learn new technologies and keep your skills fresh. We have 200+ services across a range of different categories and it’s important that we can help startups take advantages of the right ones. You’ll also play an important role as an advocate with our product teams to make sure we are building the right products and features for the startups you work with. And for the customers you don’t get to work with on a 1:1 basis you’ll share knowledge more broadly by working on technical content and presenting at events.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with one of the following programming languages: Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++
• Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, or Windows)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution
• Experience in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
