SciTec, a Firefly Aerospace Company, is seeking a software engineer in Boulder, CO to support DoD programs by delivering end-to-end software processing of OPIR sensor data for Missile Warning and allied missions. You will build and maintain CI pipelines, manage baselines, and coordinate testing across environments.

The role requires a BS in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science, U.S. citizenship, and eligibility for a DoD security clearance.

SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented engineer to support our programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. This is a unique opportunity to join a business delivering core capabilities for National defense. You will work within a fast-paced team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI pipelines (GitLab CI) for automated testing
• Maintain software baselines and support timely delivery of software
• Facilitate testing across development and test environments using Kubernetes and Helm
• Completing assigned tasks to meet program schedule milestones
• Participating in test engineering artifact reviews
• Other duties as assigned

• A bachelor's degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science

• U.S Citizenship and eligibility for a DoD security clearance
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Candidates with the following qualifications will be preferred

• Experience with testing Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) processing systems
• 1 year of experience in software development or test automation (preferably in Python)
• Experience with formal requirements verification for Government programs
• Experience building and maintaining automated testframeworks for cloud infrastructure
• Familiarity with Git, Python, CI/CD tools, containerorchestration with tools such as Docker,Kubernetes, Helm
• An active DoD security clearance

The pay range for this position is $88,000 - $124,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
