SciTec, a defense contractor in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking a talented software test engineer to support Next-Generation Missile Warning software. The role is on-site in Boulder, CO, and focuses on end-to-end software processing of OPIR sensor data for Missile Warning and related missions.

Responsibilities include building CI pipelines, testing across environments with Kubernetes/Helm, and developing test automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a DoD security clearance.
• 3 years of experience in software test engineering roles and functions.

• Orchestrate automated testing across development and test environments using Kubernetes and Helm.
• Executing tests and supporting test execution in multiple environments.

• Maintaining test documentation in accordance with management procedures.

SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented software test engineer to support our programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. This is a unique opportunity to join a small business delivering core capabilities for National defense. You will work within a fast‑paced team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence. The position is on‑site in Boulder, CO.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI pipelines (GitLab CI) for automated testing


• Orchestrate automated testing across development and test environments using Kubernetes and Helm


• Executing tests and supporting test execution in multiple environments


• Developing test automation suites


• Participating in test engineering artifact reviews


• Conducting performance analyses, risk analyses, and trade studies


• Maintaining test documentation in accordance with management procedures


• Completing assigned tasks to meet program schedule milestones


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science


• U.S Citizenship and eligibility for a DoD security clearance


• 3 years of experience in software test engineering roles and functions


• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment


• Good verbal and written communication skills


• Detail oriented


• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Candidates With The Following Qualifications Will Be Preferred

• Experience with testing Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) processing systems


• 1 year of experience in software development or test automation (preferably in Python)


• Experience with formal requirements verification for Government programs


• Experience working within AWS cloud services and environments.


• Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks for cloud infrastructure


• Familiarity with Python, CI/CD tools, container orchestration with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm


• An active DoD security clearance

The pay range for this position is $102,000- $157,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
