Job summary

Watters Wolf Bub Hansmann seeks First Year Associates with outstanding research, writing, and interpersonal skills to handle high-stakes civil matters. The firm provides training and mentorship to grow independently and competently from inception to resolution, including client interactions, depositions, and motion practice.

Successful candidates will contribute to research and writing teams, supporting litigators in motion practice, appellate briefing, and pre/post-suit analysis.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception to resolution.

Watters Wolf Bub Hansmann is seeking First Year Associates with exceptional research, writing, and interpersonal skills to handle high-stakes, complex civil litigation matters. Watters Wolf Bub Hansmann provides its associates with comprehensive training and mentorship that promotes professional growth so that each attorney has the skillset to handle legal matters competently, efficiently, and independently. As an associate attorney at Watters Wolf Bub Hansmann, you would be expected to manage a diverse caseload of matters from inception to resolution which may involve communicating with colleagues and clients, conducting legal research, preparing legal pleadings, motions, and briefs, participating in the discovery process, and appearing in court. First year associates are given opportunities to meet with clients, take depositions, and prepare and argue motions in court within the first few months of practicing. All attorneys at Watters Wolf Bub Hansmann are supported with ample resources and guidance to achieve success and personal advancement.

In addition to seeking associate attorneys who have an interest in appearing in court proceedings, Watters Wolf Bub Hansmann is seeking associate attorneys who are primarily interested in legal research and writing to provide necessary support to our litigators and become a part of our research and writing teams in motion practice, appellate briefing and argument and providing legal analysis and support to our clients both pre-suit and after suit is filed.
