Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) in Bellevue, NE seeks an Associate Software Test Engineer to join an Agile team focused on software quality and automated testing. The role emphasizes collaboration with developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software on schedule.

The candidate will participate in Agile ceremonies, perform end-to-end testing, and help expand test automation using tools like Eggplant, Selenium, or Playwright.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of software testing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• Experience with end-to-end (E2E) test automation practices and tools such as Eggplant Functional, Selenium, or Playwright.
• Demonstrated experience with functional and regression testing.
• Familiarity with Linux OS basics.
• Working knowledge of Agile development processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with technical teams.
• Ability to obtain/maintain access to work full time in Bellevue, NE.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Bellevue, NE is currently seeking a Associate Software Test Engineer . The successful candidate will demonstrate a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities, achieving sustainable, high‑quality products. They will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The selected candidate will participate in all Agile ceremonies with a concentration in software quality, and will work closely with other software developers accomplishing the following:

• Complete work independently and as part of an Agile team
• Support the team in completing necessary software on schedule
• Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions
• Collaborate with software designers and/or software engineers in the automated testing of software systems
• Regularly demonstrate progress to customers

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate Test Software Engineer
  • A high school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of software testing experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
• Demonstrated experience with end‑to‑end (E2E) test automation practices and tools such as Eggplant Functional, Selenium, or Playwright
• Demonstrated experience with functional and regression testing
• Familiarity with Linux OS basics
• Working knowledge of Agile development processes
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with technical teams
• Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results
• Ability to obtain/maintain access to work full time in Bellevue, NE
• Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Agile project tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), and Confluence
• Familiarity with Eggplant Functional
• Familiarity with C++ and Qt
• Familiarity with software security tools such as SonarQube and Clang-Tidy
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines
• Demonstrated use of IDEs (e.g., VS Code) and version control (e.g., Git)
• Current DoD Top Secret Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $59,900.00 - $89,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
