Job summary

Ace IT Careers is seeking an entry-level Associate Software Test Analyst focused on software quality, requirements analysis, functional testing, and application validation.

This role welcomes recent graduates, aspiring software testing professionals, and individuals developing a career in Software Quality Assurance. Prior professional QA experience is not required.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of professional software testing experience preferred.
• Recent graduates welcome; internships or academic projects valued.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts (SDLC/STLC).
• Familiarity with Jira, TestRail or similar tools.
• Basic SQL knowledge and API testing exposure (Postman).
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn testing tools, processes, and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Review software requirements and identify testing scenarios.
• Develop and execute manual test cases based on functional specs.
• Analyze application behavior and report discrepancies.
• Document defects and maintain testing records.
• Assist with functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
• Track testing activities using Jira or similar tools.
• Collaborate with QA, BA, and development teams in Agile meetings.
• Prepare basic test execution reports and summarize outcomes.

About the Opportunity

Ace IT Careers is recruiting for an Associate Software Test Analyst opportunity focused on software quality, requirements analysis, functional testing, and application validation.

This entry-level position is suitable for recent graduates, aspiring software testing professionals, and individuals interested in developing a career in Software Quality Assurance.

We welcome candidates with academic projects, internships, foundational testing knowledge, or independent technical learning. Previous professional software testing experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review software requirements and identify appropriate testing scenarios.
• Develop and execute manual test cases based on functional specifications.
• Analyze application behavior and identify discrepancies between expected and actual results.
• Document software defects and maintain clear testing records.
• Assist with functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Support requirements traceability and test coverage documentation.
• Track defects and testing activities using Jira or similar tools.
• Collaborate with QA analysts, business analysts, and software development teams.
• Participate in Agile meetings and communicate testing progress.
• Prepare basic test execution reports and summarize testing outcomes.
• Verify resolved defects and assist with software release validation.
