Job Description

Lockheed Martin Space is advancing space technology to connect, secure, and inspire. We focus on innovation, cost reduction, and expanding capabilities to shape the future of space exploration. Our Orion program supports NASA’s Artemis missions, aiming to land humans near the Moon’s South Pole, establish a lunar space station, and prepare for Mars exploration.

This role involves developing display formats, flight utility networks, and camera/video systems for Orion’s cockpit team, supporting Artemis III and IV missions.

In This Role You Will

• Update Orion flight software to interface with SLS Block 1B, CPLs, and Gateway, including all phases of software lifecycle from requirements to validation
• Collaborate with a dedicated flight software team supporting Artemis missions
• Leverage lessons learned from prior missions to improve development efficiency

Desired Skills

• Experience with IDEs, CI/CD tools (GitLab, Perforce/Swarm)
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with automated testing, virtual machine or containerized environments
• Knowledge of embedded avionics networking, video encoding standards, Orion software, real-time OS
