Job summary

Fleetio in the United States is seeking a software engineer for the Marketplace Engineering Team. You will write maintainable code and implement features that connect customers to maintenance shops, facilitate payments, and enable vendor data management.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, React, or TypeScript, strong OO design, and a track record delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, React, or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with unit testing frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly written.
• Experience building APIs for consumer/mobile app consumption.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement features for the Marketplace offering.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Deliver well-tested, maintainable, and performant code.
• Research, prototype, and spikes to validate assumptions and technical feasibility.
• Participate in development planning and peer code reviews.
