Job summary

impact.com is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join one of our agile squads and help develop, test, and maintain the software powering our platform. You will write high‑quality code, create tests, and collaborate with a distributed team to achieve quarterly objectives.

Ideal candidates have Java, Spring, REST API experience, familiarity with cloud platforms, and exposure to JS frameworks. This role offers a base salary with bonus and RSUs, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years professional experience using Java and MySQL.
• Knowledge of Spring Framework.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Experience building on cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React, Angular).
• Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop & Maintain: Write clean, maintainable code for the impact.com platform, working both independently and while pair programming with senior engineers.
• Build & Test: Create meaningful unit, functional, and integration tests to ensure quality and reliability; assist QA in staging.
• Collaborate & Deliver: Participate in Agile/Scrum with distributed team to fulfill quarterly objectives.
• Triage & Support: Maintain platform health by triaging, verifying bug reports, and implementing fixes.
• Learn & Grow: Become an expert in squad technologies and help onboard new team members.
