Job summary

Litera, a leading legal tech software company, offers a hybrid Associate Software Engineer role based in Denver, CO, with a minimum in‑office cadence of three days per week.

You will contribute to cloud‑based products used by hundreds of thousands of legal professionals worldwide, leveraging AI‑driven development tools to improve delivery velocity, code quality, and customer value while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of software engineering experience, including internships, academic projects, or professional experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• Foundational understanding of software development principles, object‑oriented design, and version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and critical‑thinking skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, a growth mindset, and enthusiasm for learning new technologies in an AI‑first engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software features that improve customer experiences across Litera's SaaS product portfolio.
• Contribute to the stability, performance, and reliability of applications by identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and Quality Engineering teams to turn customer and business needs into impactful product capabilities.
• Improve code quality and maintainability through testing, peer reviews, and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to increase delivery velocity, enhance code quality, and streamline engineering workflows.
• Support the evolution of scalable cloud-based applications and services that serve a global customer base.
• Continuously expand technical expertise across modern development frameworks, cloud platforms, and emerging AI technologies.
• Contribute as an engaged member of an Agile engineering team, helping drive continuous improvement and successful product delivery.
