Constellation Inc. is seeking an Associate Software Engineer with full-stack development experience. You will build modern user interfaces in React and develop backend services using Java/Spring or similar frameworks.

The role supports mission-critical applications, collaborating with analysts and engineers to deliver capabilities across multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience, strong HTML/TypeScript/CSS skills, RESTful APIs, and secure development practices.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional software development experience with React frontend and Java/Spring, C#/.NET, or similar enterprise languages.
• Proficient in HTML, TypeScript, CSS with responsive design and modern UI/UX.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, React component design, and secure web development practices.
• Experience writing unit tests with Jest.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field.
• US citizenship and ability to pass a background check; DHS/DoD clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate data requirements into intuitive, high-performance UIs.
• Build and maintain responsive web applications using React and integrate with backend services and APIs.
• Support backend logic and data services using Java/Spring or equivalent frameworks.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
• Write unit tests and contribute to CI/CD workflows to ensure production code reliability.

Job description: AssociateSoftware Engineer

Constellation is seeking an Associate Software Engineer with full-stack development experience, including building modern user interfaces in React and developing reliable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, or comparable frameworks. In this role, you will support mission-critical applications that integrate data collection, operational reporting, and intelligent automation to advance national security objectives. You will collaborate closely with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to design and deliver mission-focused capabilities across multiple workstreams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaboratingwith analysts and stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into intuitive, high-performance user interfaces.
• Building and maintaining responsive web applications using React, integrating them with backend services and APIs.
• Supporting the development of backend logic and data services using Java/Spring or equivalent frameworks.
• Participatingin sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design sessions within a tight-knit engineering team.
• Writingunit tests and participatingin CI/CD workflows to ensure the reliability of production code.

The ideal candidate must have the following credentials:

• 2 - 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a proven ability to work in frontend frameworks like React and backend ecosystems such as Java/Spring, C#/.NET, or similar enterprise-grade languages
• Strong experience developing front-end applications using HTML, TypeScript, and CSS with a focus on responsive design and modern UI/UX
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, React component design and common component libraries, and secure web development practices
• Proficiency in writing unit tests using frameworks such as Jest
• Experience working in a collaborative code environment and familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• U.S. citizen able to pass a background investigation by the client agency. DHS clearance with CBP/ICE or DoD Top-Secret preferred
