Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. in King of Prussia, PA is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to support UHS applications, deliver timely enhancements, and provide technical guidance.

You will design, code, test, and document new applications or changes, collaborate with users and IS staff to refine specifications, and assist in on-call support while following PM standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
• Experience and /or technical coursework at the collegiate level in Computer Science or Information Systems relating to relational databases and programming languages, object-oriented development, software development lifecycle, source control principles and project management concepts.
• SQL server experience with views, tables, and stored procedures.
• Design, development, analysis, creation, testing and modification of computer programs and database objects.
• System creation and program level documentation, database design flowcharts, and support documentation experience.
• Problem solving skills and basic knowledge of business management concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Participation in ongoing training and education.
• .NET Framework experience preferred.
• Visual Studio development experience preferred.

• Establishes and maintains regular communications with user community.
• Maintains Service Excellence principles.
• Prepares and promptly submits all routine and special reports.
• Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems.
• Reviews and reports progress on an ongoing basis.
• Performs other tasks as required by management.

The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Associate Software Engineer.

The Associate Software Engineer supports the implementation of UHS applications. Monitors the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by the UHS Customer Support Center. Designs and implements new applications or modifications to existing applications that will effectively accomplish desired objectives. Provides technical support to UHS entities as needed. Meets deadlines and ensures continued progress toward assignment completion. Interfaces with the user community regarding application design and support. Provides guidance to less experienced staff. Shares experience and expertise with other members of team.
