Job summary

OptiTrack in Corvallis, OR is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join our development team. You will design, develop, and maintain C++ desktop applications that interact with motion capture systems and collaborate with software, hardware, and QA engineers to build high-performance real-time applications.

The role emphasizes contributions to internal tools using C++, Python, and potential other languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Eng, Mathematics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience developing desktop applications in C++.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good verbal and written communication for documentation and internal collaboration.
• Willingness to work on-site in Corvallis, OR.
• Experience with motion capture systems or 3D tracking technologies.
• Knowledge of machine learning or artificial intelligence.
• Familiarity with game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or others.
• Experience working on real-time or high‑performance system.

What You’ll Do
