Job description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Associate Sock Designer to join our design team. The Associate Sock Designer will support the development of seasonal sock collections by translating trends, consumer insights, and brand direction into innovative, market-ready products. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams throughout the design and product development process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of seasonal sock collections that align with brand direction and customer needs.
  • Research fashion trends, color palettes, yarns, stitch techniques, graphics, and emerging market influences to inspire new concepts.
  • Create sketches, CADs, and technical drawings to communicate design intent.
  • Develop product concepts while considering fit, construction, comfort, functionality, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Source yarns, trims, and materials that align with design vision, quality standards, and pricing goals.
  • Partner with product development and sample teams throughout the prototyping process, providing feedback on design, fit, construction, and knitting techniques.
  • Prepare and maintain technical packages, specifications, artwork, and design documentation for vendor communication.
  • Assist in developing seasonal color palettes, graphics, patterns, and stitch details.
  • Participate in fit reviews and sample evaluations, recommending updates to improve comfort, performance, fit, and overall product quality.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive products, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including merchandising, product development, sourcing, production, and marketing to ensure successful product execution.
  • Support additional design initiatives and special projects as needed.
