• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
• Ability to learn and operate security technology including video surveillance and weapon detection systems
• Ability to observe, document, and communicate safety concerns

Responsibilities

• Entry Point & Facility Security: Assess and secure internal and external entry points; Monitor video surveillance, weapon detection systems, and other security technologies; Control access points and verify ID badges; Manage lobby and vehicle traffic to ensure an efficient, welcoming experience; Maintain a professional presence in public areas; Proactively mitigate disruptions using customer service and de‑escalation strategies; Conduct proactive exterior patrols and report suspicious or safety related findings.
• Reporting & Incident Response: Observe and report suspicious behavior, safety concerns, or policy violations; Complete accurate and timely incident reports; Assist Security Officers during emergencies; Provide general directions and assistance to visitors; Collaborate with Guest Services and Patient Care to support large family groups.
• Lobby Support & Customer Service: Maintain clean, organized, hazard‑free lobby areas; Build positive relationships with hospital departments; Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination
