Job summary

IBM is seeking an Associate Security Consultant to design, implement, and strengthen security solutions across modern enterprise environments. You’ll work on client engagements alongside experienced consultants and gain practical experience in cloud security, IAM, threat management, and security operations while developing technical and problem-solving skills.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree and have exposure to security tools, SIEM/EDR, and scripting languages.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with network architecture, security principles, and encryption standards.
• Experience across Threat Management, Security Operations, IAM, Cloud and Infrastructure Security, or Governance, Risk & Compliance.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, Go, Bash, or C# with exposure to automation or secure development practices.
• Exposure to security tools like vulnerability scanners, firewalls, SIEM, SOAR, or EDR.
• Understanding of SIEM, incident response workflows, and security operations concepts.
• Interest in AI-assisted security and modern cloud security practices.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client teams to gather requirements and design security solutions.
• Contribute to identity and secure access initiatives, including authentication and authorization.
• Participate in phases of client engagements: requirements, design, implementation, testing, and support.
• Assist with security architecture, cloud security, monitoring, and threat management activities across diverse environments.
• Work with modern security platforms, automation tools, and AI-enhanced security operations technologies.
• Build knowledge across platforms, architectures, security domains, and consulting methodologies.
