Duration: 12-month Contract with possible conversion to FTE

Work Arrangement: Fully Remote within the US

Payrate: $65.00 - $74.00

Who we are looking for / Requirements:
Seeking a Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to contribute to security strategies, standards, and compliance across applications and platforms. The role involves providing deep technical security guidance, ensuring alignment with policies, standards, and industry best practices throughout the SDLC.

Key components we are looking for:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience/certification.
• 7+ years overall IT experience, including 5+ years in security engineering, with expertise in at least three areas such as security reviews, risk assessment, security architecture, and controls implementation.
• Experience reviewing and developing security architectures, identifying risks, and mitigation strategies.
• 3+ years of combined experience in areas including:
• Full-stack IT infrastructure knowledge: applications, databases, OS (Windows, Unix, Linux), IP networks, web proxy, web protections, bot protections, API architectures.
• Cryptography and PKI standards.
• Vulnerability management tools.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10.

• Ensuring systems meet security, privacy, and compliance standards.
• Defining security strategies, standards, and architecture directions.
• Conducting assessments, advising on risks, and implementing controls.
• Guiding projects on security requirements aligned with business goals.

• Communicating effectively with stakeholders and supporting performance goals.
• Providing expert consultation and fostering continuous improvement.
