Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking an Associate Security Analyst to monitor our Information Systems environment for cyber-security events, respond to alerts, and address incidents. The role includes leading process improvements and implementing cyber-security and forensic solutions.

Responsibilities include monitoring the security environment, evaluating risk, building rule sets for monitoring tools, and participating in incident response. Hybrid work includes 4 days in-office and 1 day remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience required.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational and communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Gordon Food Service's information security environment for cyber-security events, anomalies and malicious activities.
• Triage alerts and respond to cyber-security events as needed.
• Evaluate risk of cyber-security events and escalate when appropriate.
• Build rule sets for incident and event monitoring solutions.
• Monitor cyber-security intelligence feeds for indicators of compromise.
• Participate in incident response efforts.
• Maintain knowledge of related IT domains and security best practices.

Position Summary

The Associate Security Analyst will monitor Gordon Food Service's Information Systems environment for cyber-security related events, anomalies, and malicious activities. They will triage, respond, and address appropriately as needed. They will also lead in process improvement and implementation of cyber-security and forensic solutions.

What You Will Do

• Monitor the cyber-security environment


• Respond to cyber-security alerts & events


• Evaluate risk of cyber-security events


• Triage cyber-security alerts & events then escalated as needed


• Build rule sets for cyber-security incident and event monitoring solution


• Monitor cyber-security intelligence feeds for indicators of compromise


• Participation in incident response


• Experience in other related information technology domains


• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

When You Will Work

• Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm


• Hybrid schedule, 4 days in office, with 1 day remote

What You'll Bring To The Table

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field preferred.


• Security+, Network+, GIAC or CEH certifications preferred.


• One to three years previous related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience required.


• Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational and communication skills.


• Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.


• Must have good customer service and time management skills.


• Ability to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems, and reference established precedents and policies.


• Knowledge of investigative theory practices


• Knowledge of cyber-security system design tools, methods, and techniques
