Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York invites an Associate Section Chief of Pulmonary Medicine to lead inpatient pulmonary services at Tisch Hospital and Kimmel Pavilion. You will partner with the Section Chief and hospital stakeholders on quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives.

Ideally a collaborative, data-driven physician leader, you will advance clinical programs, transitions of care, and standardization of inpatient workflows to improve outcomes and patient experience.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with board certification in Pulmonary Medicine.
• Board certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of quality and safety improvements.
• Experience using data dashboards and performance metrics to drive change.

Responsibilities

• Lead inpatient pulmonary services at Tisch Hospital and Kimmel Pavilion.
• Coordinate patient care and administrative responsibilities across the pulmonary service line.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, care coordination, and service efficiency.
• Establish workflows for transitions of care from inpatient to outpatient settings.
• Develop and implement inpatient pulmonary programs and clinical pathways.
• Provide leadership for quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
