Job summary

Joseph’s Classic Market is seeking a part-time Seafood Associate in Palm Beach Gardens, FL to assist customers and keep displays fresh and appealing. You will provide product knowledge and personalized recommendations while ensuring quality and safety standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

As part of the Seafood team, you’ll rotate stock, label items, and help with prep work and cleanup. The role offers growth opportunities and competitive pay with benefits for eligible team members.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience in seafood, grocery, or food service is strongly preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Strong attention to detail and visual presentation.
• Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude.
• A passion for serving people.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and making personalized suggestions.
• Maintain product freshness through regular rotation and quality checks.
• Restock and rotate displays to ensure visual appeal and freshness.
• Package, label, and price self-service items accurately.
• Cut and prepare seafood products according to company standards.
• Clean and maintain scales, cutting areas, and prep stations.
• Operate department equipment including knives, steamers, and scales safely and efficiently.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned.

Physical & Work Environment

A Seafood Associate works primarily in the Seafood department. This role involves walking and standing for extended periods, lifting and moving products weighing up to 80 pounds, and working in a fast-paced retail environment. Frequent interaction with customers and fellow team members is an essential part of the role.
