Dovel Technologies, Inc. in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking an Associate Scientist to support formulation development, stability studies, analytical testing, and documentation for vaccine and biotherapeutic programs at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

This on-site role requires hands-on lab work and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include executing formulation and stability studies, generating and analyzing samples, coordinating development

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry or related discipline.
At least 1 year of experience in protein formulation or related field.
Hands-on experience in formulation, stability, or biophysical characterization.
Experience with analytical techniques such as UV-Vis, fluorescence, CD, IR, DSC, or particle analysis.
Knowledge of protein structure and data analysis with standard software.

Responsibilities

Execute formulation and stability studies under guidance, coordinating analytical testing.
Independently generate and analyze samples using standard methods.
Coordinate and conduct formulation development studies for vaccine/biotherapeutic characterization.
Analyze and compile analytical data with the project team.
Present data to small groups and department audiences.
Coordinate external service and maintain lab instrumentation.
Draft and review stability study protocols under supervision.
Write and evaluate technical reports documenting studies.
