Title: Associate Scientist/Scientist, BCGT Analytical Development

Our core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.

Position/Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled Associate Scientist/Scientist to join our dynamic Molecular and Cell Biology team. This role will focus on developing analytical methods supporting biologics, cell, and gene therapy modalities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of tissue culture, cell line maintenance, cell-based assays, and proficiency in molecular approaches such as DNA/RNA extraction and PCR techniques.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and perform advanced tissue culturing, maintenance and treatment of mammalian cell lines.
  • Execute cell-based assays with high proficiency.
  • Possess knowledge and hands-on experience in molecular approaches, including DNA/RNA extraction, ddPCR, qPCR, RT-qPCR, and primer/probe design.
  • Maintain a laboratory notebook, documenting all experimental designs and results while adhering to good documentation practices.
  • Present experimental designs and outcomes to various audiences at program and department meetings.
  • Author and review method development reports, SOPs, validation protocols/reports, comparability protocols, and reports.
  • Apply critical thinking and excellent data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel and Prism GraphPad software.
  • Perform general laboratory and company-related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Skills Required:

  • Master's degree in, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field with 1-2 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with 0-1 years of relevant experience in industry settings.
  • Extensive experience in molecular biology and cell biology.
  • Demonstrated passion for new technologies and methods.
  • High organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight timelines in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot, think critically, multi-task, and support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Quick learner, highly motivated, hard-working, and detail oriented.
  • Effective communicator, team player, transparent, and honest.
  • Experience in cell therapy and a GMP environment is strongly desirable.
