Associate Scientist- Pharmacological Sciences

Description

The Associate Scientist is experienced in conducting research related to human diseases and improving human health. The role may include assisting in clinical laboratory operations, engaging in clinical investigations or other research activities, technical writing, and mentoring less senior scientists and research staff.

Responsibilities
  • Develop methodologies, instrumentation, and procedures for medical applications, analyze data, and present findings.
  • Design and conduct complex clinical research studies, evaluate methods, and utilize computational modeling for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Investigate human or animal diseases, preventive methods, and treatments.
  • Assist in clinical laboratory operations as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures when handling materials.
  • Teach medical and laboratory principles to physicians, residents, students, and staff.
  • Collaborate with health departments, industry, and physicians to develop health standards and public health programs.
  • Develop treatments, research tools, and techniques.
  • Define research scope, develop hypotheses, and evaluate results.
  • Adjust clinical trial dosages to optimize results and minimize side effects.
  • Publish research findings and develop proposals for new research activities.
  • Make impactful recommendations on scientific research activities.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or a related field.
  • At least three years of relevant research experience.
