Job summary

Kite Pharma seeks an Associate Scientist to join the In Vivo Pharmacology team in Foster City. The role focuses on providing mechanistic insight for in vivo pre-clinical CAR T programs, coordinating across teams and contributing to data-driven decisions.

The candidate will perform ex vivo analyses, culture cells, and use flow cytometry and PCR-based assays, contributing to project milestones in a fast-paced biopharmaceutical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years' experience OR Master's with 2+ years' experience.
• MS or BS in Biology; Immunology or Cell Biology preferred.
• 3+ years with multi-color flow cytometry and ddPCR/qPCR assays.
• Immunology background with phenotypic analysis of immune cell populations.

Responsibilities

• Characterize immune parameters from ex vivo samples in pre-clinical mouse studies.
• Process and analyze samples using flow cytometry, qPCR, ddPCR, and molecular techniques.
• Culture tumor cell lines and primary cells for phenotypic analysis.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams and present in project meetings.
