Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Associate Scientist II/Scientist I in Chemical Biology & Mass Spectrometry Technologies to develop automated sample preparation workflows and perform proteomics analyses using LC-MS.

The role requires a BS/MS in chemistry or related field with relevant bench experience; you will collaborate with colleagues across therapeutic areas to drive data-driven decisions and optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• BS/ MS in chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical biology with 0–5+ years (BS) or 0–2+ years (MS) experience.
• Hands-on bench skills for mass spectrometry and proteomics sample prep.
• Ability to work with LC-MS instrumentation and cell/tissue samples.
• Experience with automated sample prep is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated sample prep workflows for CB&MST activities.
• Validate and implement plate-based proteomics prep.
• Operate and maintain LC-MS instrumentation.
• Assist with data processing and interpretation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
