Job summary

Mondelēz International is seeking an Associate Scientist II for Oreo Cakesters Product Development in East Hanover, NJ. You will join a cross-functional R&D team to deliver new product development, portfolio maintenance and productivity projects with emphasis on the consumer experience.

Under supervision, you will plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials, ensure GMP and HACCP compliance, write technical reports, and develop consumer-led specifications.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in food science, food engineering, or chemical engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Travel up to 30% (Domestic & International).
  • Hybrid schedule: 3 Days Work From office.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and execute R&D projects aligning with QxD, marketing and manufacturing.
  • Plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials per GMP and HACCP.
  • Develop and interpret data to draw conclusions and recommendations.

Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the R&D activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance and/or productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience.

How you will contribute

With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with R&D, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements and development activities (e.g. product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation etc.). You will also write technical reports that will require the analysis and interpretation of results and that lead to conclusions and recommendations and create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.

The base salary range for this position is $69,300 to $95,315; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
