Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, OH, is seeking an Associate Scientist II to join our Research & Development team. You will develop and optimize nutritional products for commercial launch, lead defined project workstreams, and support product development from concept through commercialization.

The role requires a strong foundation in food science, hands-on lab experience, and collaboration with Marketing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Purchasing to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective products.

Qualifications

MS in Food Science or related field with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
BS in Food Science or related field with 3-7 years of relevant experience.
Experience in food product development preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize nutritional products for commercial launch.
Lead defined project workstreams ranging from line extensions to new product innovations.
Support product development activities from concept through commercialization.
Prepare technical reports and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Purchasing, and Legal.
