Job summary

Alamar Biosciences, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist I to join the Product Development team supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and ongoing product development efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or related field plus 1+ year industry experience.
  • Hands-on lab experience in biotech or life sciences.
  • Experience with basic assay techniques such as immunoassays or molecular biology methods.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to generate high-quality, reproducible data.
  • Ability to execute established protocols independently and report results clearly.
  • Excellent record-keeping and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment and workflows.
  • Data analysis using Excel, JMP, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

  • Execute V&V studies (e.g., precision, sensitivity, linearity, stability) following established protocols.
  • Support development, optimization, and validation of QC methods used across raw material, in-process, and finished goods testing.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges via root-cause analysis and implement corrective strategies.
  • Generate, document, and critically analyze experimental data, applying sound statistical practices to ensure accuracy, reproducibility, and traceability.
  • Maintain detailed laboratory records and experimental documentation in compliance with quality system requirements.
  • Support product and process transfer activities from R&D to Manufacturing, including execution of transfer protocols and preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Assist in authoring and revising SOPs, work instructions, and validation protocols/reports.
  • Support execution of experiments for new product introduction (NPI), including prototype and process evaluation activities.
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
  • Maintain lab equipment, inventory, and consumables, and ensure ongoing compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist I to join the Product Development team supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and ongoing product development efforts. Qualifications
  • B.S. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or related field with 1+ years of relevant industry experience, or M.S. in a related field
  • Hands-on experience executing laboratory experiments in a biotech or life sciences setting
  • Experience with basic assay techniques such as immunoassays or molecular biology methods
  • Strong attention to detail andability to perform routinelaboratory tasks with consistency andaccuracyto generate high-quality, reproducible data
  • Ability to independently execute established protocols and experiments, exercising sound technical judgment and escalating novel issues appropriately
  • Strong record-keeping and documentation skills, with attention to experimental details, observations, deviations, and results
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with immunoassays (ELISA, MSD,Simoa) and molecular assays (PCR, qPCR)
  • Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment and workflows
  • Data analysis skills using Excel, JMP, or similar statistical/analysis tools

The base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $97,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
