IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA is seeking an Associate Scientist to perform routine laboratory testing within a regulated environment and support laboratory operations.

Responsibilities include documenting procedures, ensuring data integrity, and complying with SOPs. The shift is Saturday–Wednesday, 4PM to 12:30 AM, with incentives and health benefits described in the offer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6 months experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques and analytical methods.
  • Experience working with laboratory automation or specialized equipment.
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Analyze routine laboratory data to ensure procedures are within tolerances.
  • Identify and escalate deviations or atypical results to senior staff.
  • Prepare samples, buffers, and solutions for testing activities.
  • Support quality investigations and corrective action processes.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and document equipment performance.
  • Assist with onboarding and guide entry-level staff on procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly.

Associate Scientist to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.

Shift: Saturday-Wednesday, 4PM - 12:30 AM.

Job Summary

Perform routine laboratory testing and analytical procedures in a regulated environment. Ensure accurate documentation, data integrity, and compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards while supporting laboratory operations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Analyze routine laboratory data to ensure procedures are performing within acceptable tolerances.
  • Identify, document, and elevate deviations or atypical results to senior laboratory personnel.
  • Prepare samples, buffers, and solutions required for analytical testing activities.
  • Support quality investigations, deviations, and corrective action processes.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and document laboratory equipment performance.
  • Assist with onboarding and guide entry-level staff on routine laboratory procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly and accurately.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory documentation and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

Compensation

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,400.00 - $86,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on qualifications, location, and schedule. Incentive plans, bonuses, and other compensation may be offered in addition to a range of health and welfare benefits.
