About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join IQVIA’s laboratory business at Indianapolis, IN. We hire passionate innovators who drive healthcare forward through thoughtful and inclusive collaboration. In this role, you will analyze and report in vitro and in vivo biotransformation studies, focusing on analytical method development, metabolite profiling, and reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Perform tasks associated with in vitro and in vivo metabolite identification (metID) studies.
  • Independently develop, implement, and troubleshoot analytical methods for drug metabolite analysis.
  • Conduct metabolic profiling and collect MS/MS data for metabolite structure determination.
  • Research scientific issues using literature and other resources.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to interpret MS/MS data and assign metabolite structures.
  • Compile, analyze, and prepare data; write reports; and manage study flow.
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of project deliverables to clients.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff and evaluate new technologies or techniques.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
  • Hands‑on experience with LC‑MS/MS and metabolite identification techniques.
  • Strong understanding of analytical method development and troubleshooting.
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed for This Role
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
  • Proficiency in LC‑MS/MS data interpretation and metabolite structure assignment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and cross‑functional collaboration.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $43,000.00 – $89,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job‑related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part‑time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
