Job summary

Cambrex Corp in Waltham, MA, through Snapdragon Chemistry, is seeking Associate Scientist/Senior Associate Scientist to design synthetic routes amenable to continuous flow processing, develop reactor systems incorporating cutting-edge analytical and automation technologies, and deliver high quality, complex chemical matter to our clients. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D.

in chemistry with experience in developing new synthetic methods and applying kinetic analysis to understand reaction

Qualifications

• Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC and NMR.
• Ability to take initiative and be creative and innovative, and work productively in the laboratory.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to celebrate differences and encourage scientific openness and frank discussion.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in peptide synthesis and basic programming knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support peptide synthesis process development using SDC’s in-house built Automated Liquid Phase Peptide Synthesis (AutoLPPS) platform
• Synthesize peptides using industry standard automated Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) reactors
• Maintain and improve automated reactor systems and workflows
• Implement and develop tools for fast and efficient data analysis for automated experiments
