BioAgilytix in Durham, NC seeks an Associate Scientist to perform assay work across development, validation, transfer, and qualification. You will document data, prepare study materials, and ensure studies stay compliant and on schedule.
With 4+ years of life-sciences experience, you will apply immunoassay techniques and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results in a regulated CRO environment.
Associate Scientists bring established laboratory experience and sound scientific judgment to study execution. In this role, you will perform assay work across development, validation, transfer, qualification, and sample analysis; organize and document scientific data; and address routine technical and operational issues. You will take ownership of assigned work while collaborating with Scientists, Senior Scientists, and project partners to keep studies accurate, compliant, and on schedule.
Based on your experience, technical strengths, and the needs of the hiring team, your assignments may focus on sample analysis, assay development, method transfer or qualification, or a combination of laboratory projects.
This role gives experienced laboratory professionals greater ownership of assay execution, study readiness, scientific documentation, and regulated laboratory work. You will apply your technical judgment to assigned studies while continuing to broaden your experience across BioAgilytix workflows.
Depending on your background and assignments, you may contribute to sample analysis, assay development, method qualification, or other scientific programs while partnering with experienced laboratory colleagues and cross-functional teams.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with no direct supervisory responsibilities. The role is primarily laboratory-based and works under moderate supervision, with responsibility for managing assigned tasks independently and escalating complex issues when needed.
The position requires frequent movement, periods of standing or remaining stationary, repetitive hand movements, bending, crouching, and lifting or moving laboratory equipment and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds. Some schedule flexibility may be available, but employees must be present during established core work hours. Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be needed based on study schedules and business requirements.
