Job summary

Qualifications

Job Title: Associate Scientist

Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)

Job Summary: We are recruiting for an Associate Scientist opportunity within a protein therapeutics environment focused on protein chemistry, analytics, and purification. This Associate Scientist role supports the characterization of complex biologic molecules, data reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to help advance promising candidates through the development process.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and characterize novel and complex molecules to support lead candidate selection.
• Contribute to analytics, molecular assessment, and protein purification activities.
• Operate and troubleshoot automation platforms for high-throughput purification and analytics.
• Capture, summarize, and report experimental data and findings using LIMS and ELN systems.

Required

• Master’s degree in life sciences, or a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant scientific experience, or an Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 6 years of experience.
• Experience with protein purification and analytics, including techniques, instrumentation, and software.
• Familiarity with protein analytical techniques such as HPLC, MCE, or similar protein characterization methods, along with analysis software such as Chromeleon or LabChip.
• Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
