Job summary

Integration International Inc. is seeking an Associate Research Scientist Contractor, Non-Viral Delivery (LNP) in Lexington, MA. The role is an onsite, 1-year contract with a pay rate of $39.04/hr on W2, working Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on LNP formulation using microfluidics, mammalian cell culture, and strong data analysis and documentation skills. Prior experience with analytical characterization and in vitro assays is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with approximately 3 years of relevant experience
• PhD with 1–3 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, bioengineering, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline
• Hands-on experience formulating LNPs using microfluidics at small to mid-scale
• Experience with analytical characterization techniques such as dynamic light scattering (DLS), fluorescence-based nucleic acid assays, chromatography, or related methods
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays is highly desirable
• Ability to independently follow laboratory procedures, maintain accurate records, and work within established equipment and laboratory SOPs
• Experience with laboratory automation or high-throughput workflows is desirable
• Experience preparing scientific reports, presentations, or publications is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Formulate and characterize nucleic acid-loaded LNPs at small to mid-scale using microfluidics, focusing on reproducibility, scalability, quality, and consistency
• Conduct LNP stability studies and evaluate formulation parameters to optimize drug product stability
• Support ligand conjugation to LNPs, including targeted LNP development, and assist with advanced analytical characterization
• Execute in vitro assays, including mammalian cell culture, potency, uptake, and viability assays
• Plan, execute, document, and analyze experiments with scientific rigor and meticulous recording
• Clearly communicate experimental results through presentations, written reports, summaries, and team discussions
