Job summary

DESTINATION ENTERPRISES INC. is seeking a mid-level scheduling professional to oversee construction timelines for K–12 capital projects on behalf of the Owner's Representative side of the school district.

The role requires reviewing P6 baselines, identifying gaps, and analyzing critical paths. You will evaluate monthly schedule updates, provide technical feedback, and support QA/QC validations to ensure program data integrity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years scheduling experience for Owner/GC or public works
• Experience with K–12 or public school projects preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering or closely related field

Responsibilities

Primarily serves the Facilities Services Division. This mid-level scheduling role is responsible for overseeing construction timelines for K–12 capital projects on behalf of the Owner's Representative side of the school district.

Review contractor P6 initial Baseline Construction Schedules. Identify missing scope, flawed logic, or missing milestones. Analyze the critical path and review required cost loading.

Monthly Status Monitoring:

Evaluate multiple contractor monthly P6 schedule updates. Provide structured technical feedback documenting milestone slippages, critical path activity slips, and overall risks using LAUSD's standardized templates. Utilize Primavera P6 software to generate custom activity filters, project layouts, and bar charts. Perform detailed QA/QC validations on logic ties to safeguard program data integrity.

Performance Reporting:

Build Earned Value Curves (EVA templates) to monitor financial and milestone health. Draft schedule performance summaries for project management teams.

Experience:

At least 3 years of full-time, paid professional scheduling experience working directly for an Owner or a General Contractor. Prior experience managing multiple educational facilities or complex public works project programs is heavily preferred.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a closely related technical field

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in the latest versions of Primavera P6 and the Microsoft Office Suite. Candidates must be able to read and interpret complex architectural plans, blueprints, drawings, and explicit contract specifications
