Job Description

This is an entry-level sales position. Ideal candidates should live in/near Jackson, MS or Memphis, TN.

Myriad is seeking a passionate sales professional dedicated to improving patients' lives through precision medicine. As a Sales Associate (SA), you will collaborate with a territory Sales Executive (SE) and Sales Manager to promote the Myriad portfolio of molecular genetic tests to healthcare providers within your assigned territory. You will also provide education on Myriad's science, research, and the broader field of precision medicine. These tests are designed to guide personalized medical decisions and enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support sales efforts with targeted accounts, physicians, and staff.
• Assist the territory SE throughout the full sales cycle, including new business development and lead generation via various programs and initiatives.
• Support existing customers with workflow related to Myriad products.
• Handle billing and customer service issues.
• Prospect and engage targeted customer types.
• Meet expense budgets and administrative requirements.
• Maintain and update Salesforce (CRM) with targeting, messaging, and strategic information.
• Participate in local tradeshows, industry conferences, and networking events.
• Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in personalized medicine.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree preferred, ideally in a related field.
• 2 years of sales or sales support experience preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage increasing responsibilities while maintaining growth.
• Strong problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles.
• Knowledge of coverage and reimbursement issues.
• Understanding of HIPAA laws, patient privacy, and related ethics.
• Demonstrated integrity and alignment with Myriad's values and code of conduct.
• Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
• Flexibility, innovation, and self-motivation.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM systems like Salesforce.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

Physical and Other Requirements
