Buchanan is working with the firm to recruit a Real Estate Finance Associate into its Los Angeles office.

This opportunity would suit a lawyer looking to develop their real estate finance experience, with direct client contact and responsibility for substantive transaction work. You will work with partners on commercial property financings, helping clients structure, negotiate and close deals.

The role

• Advise lenders and borrowers on commercial real estate financing transactions.
• Draft and negotiate loan agreements, security documents, guarantees and related documentation.
• Support the financing and refinancing of commercial, retail and industrial properties.
• Review title reports, surveys, leases and other property due diligence.
• Identify legal and commercial issues and help clients resolve them.
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, title companies and other advisers.
• Manage transaction workstreams and closing requirements.
• Assist with loan amendments, extensions and ongoing financing matters.
