Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) is the market leader in polyiso insulation, seeking an Associate R&D Engineer – Insulation to join our Research & Development team. You will design and execute laboratory experiments, evaluate raw materials, and advance foam formulations from concept through commercialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
• 5+ years of R&D experience or Ph.D. graduate with relevant research.
• Knowledge of polymer chemistry, polyurethane/polyisocyanurate formulations, and lab characterization techniques.
• Experience with experimental design, statistical analysis, and technical reporting.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute laboratory experiments to develop insulation products.
• Evaluate new raw materials and advance polyiso foam formulations from concept to commercialization.
• Perform laboratory testing using FTIR, DSC, TGA, DMA, and mechanical testing; analyze data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement) to solve technical challenges and identify cost-saving opportunities.
